Have you spotted the Jobs for Physicist bus yet?

Do you wish you were a physicist?

Helping bolster the message that physics really is for everyone, this striking careers for physicists advert has been created for the rear of buses in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Limerick and Galway – the bus featured is in Belfast.

The careers advert makes it clear that physicists can be found in the widest range of careers – from the space industry to finance and legal, environment & energy to the media and much more.

In a further move into the marketing space four intriguing physics questions currently feature on the DART and LUAS in Dublin.

Questions about zero gravity and a frictionless environment are among the four questions being used that the Institute of Physics in Ireland hopes will provoke curiosity.

Passengers have the opportunity to test their understanding of physics by submitting answers via text or checking out the website

The questions might help commuters to reflect on the wonders of our Universe and the role that physics plays in helping us understand it.

Alison Hackett, the IOP’s Representative in Ireland, said, “Seeing children and adults alike pondering physics conundrums on public transport is a delight. We hope it brings a sense of wonder in the incredible Universe we inhabit and gets everyone talking.”
