X-Rays: Atomic energy levels and the origins of X-rays

This shows how an explanation of the characteristic X-ray spectra from different target materials lead scientists to a better model of the atom, the Bohr Model, which then could also explain visible spectra. Mosley's work connected the electrostatic force on the electron to the charge of the nucleus.
